At least 11 civilians from the Tuareg community have been killed near Menaka in the troubled northeast of Mali, a pro-government coalition of armed groups announced Saturday. The attack was carried out on Thursday by unidentified assaillants, said the group, called Plateform. A local elected official who asked not to be named confirmed the report to AFP. sd/jj/lc
