Belgium's Wout van Aert won the fifth stage of the Tour de France on Wednesday as Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe retained the leader's yellow jersey. The Jumbo-Visma rider pipped the Netherlands' Cees Bol in second place and Ireland's Sam Bennett in third after 183km of racing which ended in the south-eastern town of Privas. iwd/dj
