Russia's foreign ministry said Monday it was disappointed in the European Union's decision to impose sanctions on four senior Russian officials over the crackdown on Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny and his supporters. "The decision adopted by the EU Foreign Affairs Council on February 22 this year under a far-fetched pretext to prepare new unlawful unilateral restrictions on Russian citizens is disappointing," the ministry said in a statement. emg/mjs
