Clermont's Fijian backrow forward Peceli Yato has been ruled out for several months after undergoing an operation to help repair a knee ligament, the Top 14 club announced Monday. Yato has long suffered knee pain and Clermont said it was again present when training for next season got under way, the coronavirus pandemic having brought the 2019/20 season to a premature halt. The 27-year-old Fijian, who has been with Clermont since 2013, will only be available at the back end of 2020, according to the club. fjt/lp/dmc
