England's match against the Barbarians has been cancelled after a breach of coronavirus regulations by several Barbarian players, the Rugby Football Union announced Friday. "The RFU has today cancelled the Quilter Cup England v Barbarians fixture scheduled for Sunday 25 October," said an RFU statement. English rugby's governing body added that the players leaving the Covid secure environment had not isolated from the rest of the group on their return and that, as a result, it was "left with no alternative but to cancel the game". This match was designed to act as a warm-up for England's delayed Six Nations international away to Italy in Rome next week. jdg/td
