Boeing reported Wednesday an $11.9 billion annual loss reflecting the hit from the 737 MAX grounding, the downturn in the commercial airline industry and delays in its 777X wide-body plane program. The aviation giant reported a fourth-quarter loss of $8.4 billion following the accounting of $6.5 billion in one-time costs for the 777X, which will now commence deliveries in late 2023.
