American Bryson DeChambeau captured his first major golf title on Sunday, firing a three-under par 67 in the final round to win the 120th US Open. The 27-year-old American finished 72 holes at formidable Winged Foot in Mamaroneck, New York, on six-under par 274 to defeat American Matthew Wolff by six strokes. DeChambeau became the first player since 1955 to shoot the only sub-par final round to win the US Open and only the fourth to ever achieve the feat. js/bb
