A French woman suspected of links to far-left anarchists is to be extradited to Italy, a judicial source said Thursday. Carla Tubeuf, 32, is suspected of involvement in one or more bomb attacks on post offices in Italy in 2016 as part of a campaign against Rome's policy towards migrants. She is the subject of a European arrest warrant for "association with terrorist wrongdoers" and was arrested in central France on Sunday after 18 months on the run, the source told AFP. Nicknamed the "French anarchist" in Italy, Tubeuf has agreed to be handed over to the Italian authorities, the source said, adding that she would stay in French custody in the meantime. The French weekly Journal du Dimanche said Tubeuf is accused of involvement in at least one attack -- with a homemade bomb that failed to detonate -- on a post office in April 2016. Post offices were targeted repeatedly by far-left elements opposed to Italy's migrant policy because the now privatised postal service has been involved in recent years in repatriating migrants who are denied asylum. dm/cha/gd/dl
