The Twenty20 World Cup will be staged in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from October 17 to November 14, cricket's world body said on Tuesday. The tournament will be held in three UAE cities including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and the Oman Cricket Academy Ground, the International Cricket Council said in a statement. It was originally meant to take place in India but the Board of Control for Cricket in India had told AFP on Monday the tournament would be shifted out due to the coronavirus pandemic. fk/stu/rbu
