A deadly winter weather storm that knocked out power for millions of people in Texas has forced the NBA to postpone Friday's scheduled Houston Rockets home game against Dallas. A government shutdown of the Toyota Center, the Rockets' home arena, due to the severe cold and icy conditions has forced the game to be rescheduled to a later date. The storm has left dozens dead and several millions Texans have been told to boil water before consuming it. Texas power companies had to implement rolling blackouts and more thn 400,000 homes and businesses remained without power through a fourth day as hundreds of emergency warming centers were opened across the state. The Rockets suffered their seventh consecutive defeat on Wednesday, falling 118-113 at Eastern Conference leader Philadelphia. At 11-17, the Rockets are level with Oklahoma City for the second-worst record in the Western Conference, with the Dallas Mavericks 10th in the West at 13-15. js/rcw
