Turkey on Monday summoned the US ambassador to lodge a protest over Washington's response to the killing of 13 Turks in northern Iraq, which Ankara blamed on outlawed Kurdish militants. The Turkish foreign ministry said it communicated "in the strongest possible terms" to US Ambassador David Satterfield Ankara's displeasure with Washington's refusal to immediately accept Turkey's version of events.
