The three remaining rugby sevens places at the Tokyo Olympics will be decided at a qualifying tournament in Monaco in June, World Rugby announced on Thursday. The likes of France, Samoa and Ireland will battle for the final men's spot in next summer's Games between June 19-20. Argentina and 'Les Bleues' are among the sides to compete for last two women's berths in Japan on the same weekend. Respective gold medal holders from the Rio Games, Fiji and Australia, have already booked their places. This season's World Sevens circuit is on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic but Marcoussis, to the south of Paris, will hold two women's events in May. Earlier, the Hong Kong leg of the circuit was postponed from April to November over the continuing Covid-19 uncertainty. pyv/fbx/iwd/td
