Bologna have signed teenager Aaron Hickey from relegated Scottish Premiership side Hearts, the Serie A club confirmed on Thursday. The 18-year-old Glaswegian left-back becomes the Italians' first ever British signing. "Bologna FC 1909 are pleased to announce that Aaron Hickey joins the Club on a permanent transfer from Heart of Midlothian F.C," they said in a statement. Hickey joined Hearts in 2018 from Celtic's academy and made his debut in the Scottish top flight aged 16. Last season, he played in 22 games and scored a goal against Hibernian as the Tynecastle outfit were relegated from the top flight. ea/iwd
