Bath reached the European Challenge Cup semi-finals for the seventh time on Friday with a four-try 26-13 win over London Irish. Bath, who were champions 13 years ago, took charge of the tie with a 19-10 lead by the interval at the Recreation Ground. Prop Will Stuart scored twice with former London Irish lock Josh McNally also grabbing a try in the first half. In a performance to remember for their forwards, Number 8 Zach Mercer scored midway through the final quarter for Bath's fourth try of the evening. Scrum-half Ben Spencer kicked three conversions. Argentine hooker Agustin Creevy scored Irish's sole try. On Saturday, Leicester face Newcastle, Montpellier welcome Treviso while Northampton take on Ulster in the remaining quarter-finals. dj/dmc
