Sergio Perez is set to return for Racing Point at this weekend's 70th Anniversary Grand Prix at Silverstone after completing his coronavirus quarantine. The Mexican driver tested positive for COVID-19 last Thursday and was replaced by former Force India team-mate Nico Hulkenberg at the British Grand Prix. In a statement on Thursday, the team said he had completed his period in isolation as confirmed by Public Health England and was ready to return subject to returning a negative test for the virus. The team said: "Sergio requires a verified negative test result for COVID-19 before he can enter the paddock. "The testing process is taking place today (Thursday)." Racing Point added that a final decision would be taken later on Thursday or early Friday. Hulkenberg, who made an impressive return in practice and qualifying, was unable to race last Sunday due to a power unit problem. Perez did not suffer any symptoms. str/nr
