Cuba's outgoing leader Raul Castro called Friday for "respectful" dialogue between his country and the United States, as he presided over his final congress of the Communist Party of Cuba. While denouncing Washington's "economic war" against Havana, Castro expressed a "willingness to conduct a respectful dialogue and build a new kind of relationship with the United States", but without Cuba renouncing "the principles of the revolution and socialism." ka/mlr/ec
