Keith Schembri, the former chief of staff to ex-Maltese prime minister Joseph Muscat, was charged Saturday with money laundering, corruption, fraud and forgery. He pleaded not guilty when he appeared in court alongside what police said would be 10 other people arraigned for similar offences. Charges were also being brought against 20 companies. str-ar/ach
