Veteran Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers may decide to finish his NFL career elsewhere after Green Bay drafted another quarterback, team legend Brett Favre has said. Last week, the Packers traded up to acquire Utah State quarterback Jordan Love with the 26th overall pick in the NFL draft. Favre, who ended up playing the final three years of his career in other cities, told NBC Sports that he had spoken to Rodgers after the team took Love. "Let's just say (he was) surprised that they went in that direction," Favre said. Asked if he expects the 36-year old Rodgers to finish his all-star career in Green Bay, Favre said it was not likely. "My gut tells me no," Favre said. "I don't know this for certain, but I guarantee you, it's got the wheels turning in Aaron's mind." He added: "It's not Aaron's job to mentor Jordan Love." Favre was himself replaced by Rodgers as the Packers' starting quarterback in 2008, three years after Green Bay chose Rodgers with the 24th overall draft pick. Rodgers, who is heading into the first year of a four-year $134 million deal, guided the Packers to the Super Bowl championship in the 2010 season. The two-time NFL most valuable player is expected to make $21 million next season. Favre won a Super Bowl with the Packers in the 1996 season before retiring in 2010 as a member of the Minnesota Vikings. gph/sst
