Podcast host Joe Rogan says he has Covid-19 and used ivermectin, a drug typically used on livestock that health experts have urged the public to avoid.
Review:
Ivermectin is a multifaceted drug that won the Nobel prize for medicine in 2015.
Review:
Ivermectin is first and foremost used in humans as an ant parasitic treatment. "Ivermectin is approved for use in humans to treat intestinal strongyloidiasis and onchocerciasis."
Review:
There is zero evidence that Joe Rogan used horse paste with Ivermectin rather than a prescription for IVM pills. The fact that he is a multi-millionaire and able to get the best doctors available, makes the claim laughable.
Review:
There is ivermectin for animals and ivermectin for people. Joe Rogan has not suggested taking the animal version of ivermectin.
