The law has nothing to do with people of color. The article introduces ethnicity as a straw man to make the law appear racially biased. However it is an equal protection for all unborn children of all races.

Note the words "along with laws" concerning public education and proposed legislation restricting voting access "...... They are not claiming the abortion law alone is raising the fears of Texans, but a combined group of laws.
