Critical race theory (CRT) itself is not being taught in K-12 schools. CRT has been helpful to education leaders (not students) as they seek to disentangle the systems in our communities and schools that oppress students of color, and hinder their ability to thrive.

The head of the California Board of Education—a Gavin Newsom appointee—has defended Critical Race Theory and the brainwashing of our children. Not on my watch. I'll appoint people who have common sense values and truly serves in the best interest of our children.
