Talked to family tonight who work in medicine. They told me that some hospitals are full. Not because rooms are full of patients .. because they don’t have enough staff which means less patients. Media won’t report this. They fear monger. Now you know. Happening all over USA.
Review:
The original tweet claims that the reason for full hospitals is a lack of staff, not an increase in cases of Covid. The note above adds context to the nursing shortage, but does not add context to the question of whether or not hospitals are full.
Review:
Per McKinsey, this staffing shortage is due to medical care staff turnover due to burnout, excessive workloads and other operational strains from the prolonged and ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
