There is still risk of resurgence and unnecessary deaths if people let down their guard before enough people are fully vaccinated. Further, riding a bike is a risk to you; not wearing a mask or gathering with others before enough people are vaccinated is a risk to others.

The author offers a false equivalency between increased medical attention if more people ride bikes, to increased infection rates of COVID. Whereas riding a bike is voluntary, contracting COVID is not in large group settings. Author also states incorrectly that COVID is over.
