The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) was passed in 2005. It does not make gun manufacturers immune from all civil lawsuits. Gun manufacturers are liable for faulty products just like every other industry. You can't sue Ford if a driver speeds and kills you.
